Bajan and Dutch talent, Tory Lanez has been making noise in Toronto for years for his versatile and expansive musical skill and now that talent is hitting headphones worldwide. The Toronto native artist, born Daystar Peterson, has a repertoire which includes multiple mix-tapes, hundreds of songs, collaborations with major names such as YG, G-Eazy and Meek Mill as well as a brand (One Umbrella) under his belt at just 23 years old. The Swavey Nation artist created his own genre and lifestyle which expressed his resistance to being put in “one lane” which has taken off; with the capacity to rap, sing, produce etc and play in multiple genres from R&B to rock, Lanez has made it evident he can’t and won’t be put in a bubble by the industry.

Fans have been gifted with consistent artistry which delivers every time, Lanez is a force to be reckoned with and shows no signs of slowing down. Multiple tours (recently announced “the New Toronto” tour touching Europe) and brand features such as Fargo Fridays (a weekly drop of new music by Lanez) has kept his name circulating and fan base growing. The release of  “Say It” caused a serious stir over the artist but only minimally prepared us for the dual drop of the Chixtape 3 and Gangsta Grillz: The New Toronto alongside which made major waves for Lanez and has the people talking on an international scale. From fans to blog sites, speculation is buzzing that Lanez will soon release a studio album for us to feast on.
