Saif. Safe. 416 Safe. Bando 416. Doesn’t matter how you address this 18 year old rapper repping the Esplanade, so long as you know who he is.

It’s been 3 months since the release of Safe’s EP “Stay Down” which featured significant collaborations from names such as Eric Dingus and Smoke Dawg. The EP which has hit over 1.8 million listens on Soundcloud alone has framed some context behind the Toronto artist’s hype ever since a heavy co-sign from a few major names and features he’s logged on Fader and Noisey.

The Abu- Dhabi native has been played on OVO sound radio after connecting with Drake’s right hand man, Oliver El-Khatib, alongside Jimmy Prime (a rapper within New Toronto who also affiliates with 176 & 878 and coined the term “the 6” on social media) and most recently has shown fans that there’s more in the works by dropping a collab (“Don’t Worry“) featuring Nessly, just a few days after shots of studio sessions beside PR maven, Lola of iLuvLola. It looks like the Feel creative isn’t going anywhere anytime soon and we can’t wait to see how Safe plays a part in shaping the sound of the New Toronto.
